The federal assistance programs on this page provide vocational and postsecondary educational
scholarships and grants to K-12 students, undergraduate and postgraduate college students,
educators, colleges, universities and faculty.
A host of federal agencies (including the
Department of Education, the Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Defense)
provide research grants, scholarships, fellowships, internships, student exchanges,
and study abroad programs to train in areas of national need.

$12,317 grant to attract and retain disadvantaged health professions faculty members for
accredited health professions schools of medicine, nursing, osteopathic medicine,
dentistry, pharmacy, podiatric medicine, optometry, veterinary medicine, public health,
allied health or graduate programs in behavioral and mental health practice for
at least two years.

Money paid to institutions on behalf of students
The Federal Government allocates a certain amount of money to educational institutions and organizations
in order to provide the following opportunities for students. Students will need to apply directly to the institutions
receiving the funds.
