Title II of the Americans
with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination against persons with
disabilities in all programs, services, and regulatory activities relating to
State and local public housing, and housing assistance and referral.

Pertains to all programs, services, and regulatory activities relating to
State and local government, public housing, and housing assistance and
referral.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant Eligibility: Individuals who believe they have been
subjected to a Title II violation by a HUD-assisted recipient or a public entity
involved in housing, housing assistance or housing referral may file a complaint
with the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
During fiscal year 2001, 135 complaints were received. Twenty compliance
reviews were conducted under ADA during Fiscal Year 2001.
