USES AND USE RESTRICTIONS:
Copies of publications of estimates and reports of production, supply, price
and other aspects of the agricultural economy are available to anyone without
restriction. Publications are provided free to survey respondents, press,
Congress, and, many current publications and all data products are also
available for free on the NASS Internet World Wide Website: http://www.usda.gov/nass/.
Other publications are available to all others on a subscription basis.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant Eligibility: Farmers and agricultural
producers, marketing and processing groups, transportation and handler groups,
consumers, State governments, educational institutions, and the general public
including those located in the U.S. Territories.
Beneficiary Eligibility: Farmers and agricultural
producers, marketing and processing groups, transportation and handler groups,
consumers, State governments, educational institutions, and the general public
including those located in the U.S. Territories.
Estimates on approximately 120 crops and 45 livestock items are included in
approximately 400 reports. These reports include crops, livestock and poultry
estimates; agricultural chemical usage; prices received by farmers; prices
paid for commodities and services; and data on farm employment and wage rates.
The Census of Agriculture is conducted every 5 years, for the years ending in
a "2" or "7" and provides comprehensive data down to the
county level on all aspects of the agricultural economy.
